We have arrived in Nepal safe and sound! Our time so far has been spent walking through the busy streets and shopping at the local vendors. Last night we settled into the beautiful guest house and had an amazing dinner here in Thamel. Our adventure continued today by touring The Garden of Dreams and walking outside of Thamel to eat Mo-mo’s, of course! When we got back to the guest house Ty and Brad went out on an adventure on their own and walked the streets to Kathmandu Durbar Square. They didn’t go into the temples, they were saving that for us to go to as a group. They mainly were getting an understanding of where it was at to lead us to it in the future. On the way back, they took a different rout and discovered more of Durbar Square and learned a lot about mandala painting. On the way back to the guest house they found Nikki’s favorite stone shop. She has made a great relationship with the owner and has many of his pieces in her house and work office. It was a neat experience to visit this shop in person to see his incredible art work! We ended the day eating a delicious meal at The Third Eye Restaurant. Which is known for it’s fine Indian and Continental cuisine. We are all currently relaxing back at the hotel lobby awaiting our exciting Nagarkot tour tomorrow.
